An inspection team from Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) paid a visit to the campus of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo early hours of today. The visit has to do with the ongoing "Fleet Operators Certification Exercise" which is being carried out throughout the country.

A publication from the university said the team from the FRSC came to carry out inspection of their fleet of vehicles and certification of their drivers. This is in line with the command Road Transport Standardisation Schemes (RTSS) which started a few years ago.

One of the scheme aims is to foster safe motoring on the Nigerian highways and it entails commands' routine inspection of fleet of the government parastatals and non governmental institutions. It was revealed that up to date, more than 4310 fleet operators have been certified by the commands.

ACU management said, the exercise was a success.

The team from FRSC was received by the university Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dapo Asaju and some other members of the school management team.
