Bonaras Hindus University 

Faculty of Law at Bonaras Hindus University was founded in 1922. It law courses are offer at all levels of it degree programme: bachelor, master and doctorate. Over the past few years the law school has enjoyed good ranking by various educational institutions ranking systems. In 2017 "The Week" ranked the school as the 7th best in India, the "Outlook India" ranked it 6th best, "India Today" said it was 5th best while recently, the Times Higher Education World University Ranking said the school was the 2nd best in India.

University of Delhi Law School:

The Times Higher Education ranked Law School, University of Delhi as 3rd best in India in it 2019/2020 World Best Universities Ranking. Two years ago, "The Week" ranked it 3rd best. Faculty of Law at University of Delhi was established in 1924, offering law  at all levels of it degree programme. The school host more than 7000 students from near and far.

Jamia Millia Islamia University:

The law programme at Jamia Millia Islamia University is ranked 4th best in India. The school faculty of law was established in 1989 offering programme leading to the award of  BA LLB (Hons) for Undergraduate Programme; PG Diploma in Labour Law and  Airspace Law for Postgraduate Diploma;  LLM for Masters Programme and MPhil/PhD(Law) for Doctoral training in Law.

Savitribal Phule Pune University 

Despite the fact that the law programme at Savitribal Phule Pune University is at Postgraduate level, it faculty of law is still able to ranked 5th best in India. The school which was established in 1965 offers one year LLM programme in law, training students in the area of intellectual property law, consumer law, criminal law, constitutional and administrative law, international law and international trade and commercial law.

Acharya Nagarjuna University 

Acharya Nagarjuna University, faculty of law focus more in training student for master degree (LLM) law programme in Labour Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Corporate and Security Law and Criminal Law. The university is ranked 24th best while it law programme is 6th best in India.

Aligarh Muslim University

This university is ranked 24th best in India. It law programme which started few years after the school was established is ranked 6th best. The Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University offers 5 years BA LLB (Hons) integrated courses, 2 years LLM programme and 3 year Post Graduate (PG) Diploma in Law, training students in Competition Law, International Trade Law, Banking and Insurance Law, Mine Law, Maintenance Law, Cyber Law and host of other legal courses. The school is said to have about 118 legal  research articles to it credits.

Pondicherry University

Started it law programme 30 years after the school was founded in 2014/2015 academic session and by 2019 the institution was able to grow it Faculty of Law to become one of the ten best in India, offering LLM programme in Corporate and Security Law, Intellectual Property Law and International Commercial Law and Post Graduate (PG) Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science and Intellectual Property Right.
Pondicherry University was ranked in the position bracket 891-1000 by the Times Higher Education's World Best Universities 2020 ranking and in the position bracket 201-250 in Asia.
