The award was conferred on the Rector when the group led by one Mr. Collins Banigo paid him a courtesy visit in his office yesterday Monday 4th of November, 2019.
While speaking, Mr Banigo showered encomium on the Professor, saying the way he has turn around the situation in the Polytechnic for good within the short period of his ascending office is commendable. He pointed out that the National Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Hart and the group in general were instrumental to the emergence of Professor Tam as the Rector of the institution.
Mr. Banigo thereafter stated that they were impressed by the Rector performance, for he has performed creditably well, he did not let the group down following his policies and achievement.
Mr. Collins added further by saying that it is good to see the Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny emerged the world winner in the research in Physics, a competition which bring together about 500,00 participants from more than 64 countries of the world. He noted that the school would not have been able to achieve this if not for the Rector selfless service and the policies he had put in place.
The award conferred on the Rector was to reward him for his outstanding performance since coming into the office through which he was able to bring back the glory the institution: Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny.
