The Polytechnic is one of the highly rated private institution in Nigeria. The school which was founded in 2012 by the duo of Azeez Yisa Bukola and Abdulazeez Isaq is one of the forty-four (44) private polytechics in Nigeria that are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
Accreditation by the NBTE make the school one of the recognised polytechnics in Nigeria and so:
- The products of the institution are eligible to participate in the compulsory one year National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) programme after completing Higher National Diploma (HND).
- The certificate earned from the Lens Polytechnic is recognised by all other notable higher institutions in Nigeria and abroad. So, the certificate can be used for further studies with one of these schools.
