As a chemical engineer you have a work in pharmaceutical industry, polymer and metallurgical industry, petroleum, oil and gas industry, food processing industry, research institutions and lot more.

To be eligible to study Chemical Engineering at London South Bank University, you must have the minimum entry requirements as listed below.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicant must possess at least 5 GCSE's  result minimum of A-C including Mathematics and English or equivalent and
  • A Level minimum result of BBB (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) or
  • BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) National Diploma result with a minimum of DDM or 
  • Access to Higher Education (HE) qualification with a 24 × distinction and 21 × merits including 3 distinction in Mathematics and 9 merits in Physical Science or 
  • Level 3 qualification with 124 UCAS points
  • The level 3 qualification which must include Mathematics or Physical Science will be accepted 
An international student outside European Union member states must provide an English proficiency test results: IELTS of 6.0 or Cambridge proficiency or Advance Grade C or other equivalent.

Note that possessing the above minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Placement depend on the available number  of space per session. Having a better results would be an added advantage. In a situation where applicants are much more than the available spaces those with higher or better academic results would first be considered for admission.

This entry requirements is valid for BEng and MEng  Chemical Engineering and it subject to review by the management of LSBU without prior notice.
