UNIPORT Postgraduate Diploma Engineering Programmes and Entry Requirements

There is a few study options for Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) engineering programmes at The University of Portharcourt (UNIPORT).

Listed below are the few taught PGD engineering programmes at the UNIPORT' and the minimum entry requirements for each of the courses which usually lasted a duration of 12 calender months.

Minimum Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirements for each of the PGD programme above is first degree in relevant engineering disciplines from UNIPORT or other goverment approved Universities and the Polytechnic HND.

* 3rd Class Honour would be accepted to study Petroleum Engineering the initial discipline is Petroleum and Gas Engineering, 
* Holders of a degree in Geology, Physics, Metallurgical, Chemistry or Geophysic would be considered to do Petroleum Technology with minimum of 2nd Class Lower.  Applicants with 3rd Class would be considered if with minimum industrial experience of five (5)  years.

Mechanical Engineering will takes candidate with 3rd Class Honour b in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering but minimum of 2nd Class if from other engineering disciplines such as Marine, Mining, Chemical or Agricultural Engineering.
