The two appointments which was recently announced by the management of the institution saw Dr.Ekanem Ekwere Etefia climbing the exalted seat of the Dean of Student Affairs UNIUYO and Dr. Essien Akpanuko taking the position of Vice Dean of same Student Affairs.
Dr. Etefia Ekanem took over from, Dr. Aniekan Brown: the Student Affairs Dean who was appointed in November 2017 and was leaving the office at the expiration of his tenure.
Dr. Etefia holds a Ph.D in Commercial and Property Law and was until his appointment, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs. He is a UNIUYO alumni proper having had all his academic degrees (LLB, LLM and PhD) certificates from the school.
Also appointed as Vice Dean is Dr. Essien Akpanuko, of the Department of Accounting. He hold a BSc and PhD Accounting from University of Uyo while he earned his MBA Accounting from University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
For ten years Dr Akpanuko was a leader of UNIUYO students enterprise team and was formerly Director, Centre for Skill Acquisition and Rural Development at the University of Uyo.
Their tenure takes immediate effect.
