At Emory University there is no Department where Civil Engineering is taught and so a student applicant cannot apply to study for a degree in Civil Engineering at the institution directly. 


Dual Degree Engineering Programme

Dual Degree Engineering Programme (DDEP)  is created jointly by Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology (GIT). It is designed to afford undergraduates at Emory University an opportunity to study for a degree in any engineering programme he so desired. 

This is possible after gaining admission into Emory University to study one of their many humanity studies or social sciences or physical sciences and have successfully completed the programme.

An application must be tendered by an interested undergraduate student and the minimum entry requirements for admission must be met after which the students then move on to Georgia Institute of Technology for the engineering programme if considered for the programme.

With Dual Degree Engineering Programme a student is issued two degree certificates. A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Emory University on successful completion of his programme there and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BEng)  on successful completion of his desire engineering programme at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dual Degree Engineering Programme lasted a minimum duration of five (5) to six (6) years depending on the area of study.
