Biomedical Engineering is a profession which research, design, develop and manage processes, tools, equipment and machines use for the quick and safe delivery of medical services. It is the same thing as Medical Engineering. 

This field of discipline is not the same as Biomedical Sciences which it's focus is in the area of conducting  laboratory test and scientific research to support the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
