The state is the biggest in Nigeria by area and it is "The Power State" (many of the most powerful Nigerian either past or present come from the state).
These two features supposed to contribute to the state to having more educational institutions - especially higher schools of learning - more than any other states in the country, but poor participation of private organisations in education which is affecting most of the states in Northern part of Nigeria is also affecting the state.
