Alex Ekwueme University Employs A Nigerian Professor Who was Sacked in Ghana

Augustine Nwagbara, a Nigerian Professor who was sacked from a Ghanaian University on an allegation that he criticized the country educational system will no more be joining University of Lagos afterall.

It could be recalled that this blog had previously reported that UNILAG had offered the Professor an employment and that he would resume for duty after his sabbatical but now the story has changed.

The report available to us now is that Professor of English Language has been offered an employment by Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State.

At a reception organises by the management of Alex Ekwueme University to celebrate his home coming, Vice Chancellor of the institution Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba assured Nwagbara of his support saying he would do everything in his capacity to make his staying in the university remarkable.

The elated Vice Chancellor continue by saying, young university like Alex Ekwueme Federal University need serious and experience professional like Nwagbara, he therefore enjoined him to leave University of Lagos and join AEFUNAI  permanently.

Also speaking at the reception was the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of the university
Phillip Omoke who said Nwagbara was worthy of the reception for he is a great achiever.

While commending the university management for the kind of reception organised for him, Augustine Nwagbara said he was happy to be at AEFUNAI and to be a Nigerian. He took time to narrate his ordeal to the gathering and make them to understand Ghanaian education system in comparison to ours.

Mr. Nwagbara later asked the school to allow him while at the institution to show Nigerians the benefits of promoting their education system which he noted could best be achieved through public lectures.
