The advertisement which was captioned ''Register for One of These Courses Get 50% Off,'' listed the courses included in the promotion to be:
- Sociology (BSc)
- Banking and Finance (BSc)
- Public Administration (BSc)
- Mechanical Engineering (BSc)
- Criminology and Security Studies (BSc) and
- English Language and Communication Studies (BSc)
Students wishing to register for any of the above mentioned courses should do so fast, because the offer is limited. The first ten students who registered for each of the courses will enjoy the "50% off" promotional offer.
In another development, the school management announced that National University Commission (NUC) has given them permission to commence teaching some undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The programmes, five in numbers, which are already available for prospective students to apply for are listed below, as published by the school management.
- Information Technology (BSc)
- Software Engineering (BSc)
- Accounting (PGD)
- Accounting (MSc) and
- Management (MPh)
This would be the second time in two years that NUC would grant Nile University permission to start some new programmes. It should be recalled that in 2017 the commission granted the institution permission to start six new postgraduate programmes at doctoral level. The programmes has since taken off.
Students from any part of the world are welcome at Nile University of Nigeria. They don't have to worry about the availability of accommodation facilities at the school, for just recently the school management announced the commissioning of two new blocks of house of residence on the campus. Nile University management said, the two new hostels were built to increase the number of on-campus students of the institution.
The foundation for the construction of the two new hostels were laid two months ago. Then, it was revealed that on completion the hostels would reduced the shortage of accommodation which the school was experiencing.
The two newly commissioned hostels has total capacity for 400 students. One block of the hostel is for male students. That, has capacity to occupy 240 students. The other hostel is for female students and it can occupy as many as 260 students. The two new hostels has facilities that will make staying on-campus easy and enjoyable for the students. It was revealed that, each of the new hostel rooms has fans and there are dinning halls in each of hostels. There are also study spaces and many other facilities.
The addition of these two new hostels sweal the number of hostels on Nile University campus to four. Before, the school paraded just two hostels which were not able to accommodate ever increasing number of students of the institution.
