Lagos State Government yesterday announced the appointment of Professor Bilikis Bidemi Idowu as the new Provost of the state owned Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto-Ijanikin Lagos.
The appointment which was announced by the office of Special Adviser to the Governor and was duly approved by the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu takes effect on 11th January 2020 after the expiration of the tenure in office of the incumbent Provost, Dr (Mrs) Ladele Aina Omolola.
Meanwhile, just some hours after the appointment announcement, the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun (SAN) sent a congratulatory message to Professor Bidemi Idowu. In his message LASU Vice Chancellor said, "I received with delight the heartwarming news of your appointment as Provost, AOCOED. Given your antecedent as a remarkable scholar and consummate administrator, this is certainly a well deserved elevation."
He further said that, "your choice as Provost is a reflection of your doggedness, zeal and passion for the tea Hong profession as well as the drive for quality education in Lagos State. I am convinced that AOCOED will benefit greatly from your acumen, expertise and experience.
Until her present appointment, Professor Bilikis Bidemi Idowu was the Deputy Director Alumni of the Lagos State University Directorate of Advancement (LASUDA). Also, she was formerly Acting Dean Student Affairs of the institution.

Doctor of Philosophy PhD (Health Education), University of Ibadan (2005)
Master in Education MEd (Health Education), University of Lagos (1999)
Bachelor of Science BSc (Education), Lagos State University (1995)
