All these courses are taught within three Departments in the University College of Engineering.
They are 5 years programmes leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree certificate.
Admission Requirements
There are two ways by which an applicant can gain admission to study any of the above courses in as much as he satisfy the admission requirements.- Through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) this include Pre-degree programme which qualify students to be admitted into 100 level and
- Through Direct Entry, including JUPEB and IJMBE which qualifies students to be admitted to 200 level.
Indirect Entry (UTME)
- West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)/(NECO)
- General Certificate Examination (GCE)
A student must also pass Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) after which he must also pass the Bells University of Technology (BUT) post UTME, making the required Cut-Off Mark for his chosen engineering programme.
Direct Entry Admission
Holders of the following results would be considered for an admission provided he make the minimum scores required
- GCE Advance Level (A/L)
- JUPEB
- IJMBE
- National Diploma and
- Higher National Diploma
It is also required of a student to pass one or two combination of the three examinations above before he could be considered for an admission by direct entry.
