Professor Abu. K. Adamu Officially Presented With the Letter of Appointments As New Vice Chancellor IBB University Lapai

Professor Abu Kasim Adamu was yesterday officially presented with his letter of appointment as the new Vice Chancellor of Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL)

Presenting the letter on behalf of the Niger State government, the Secretary Ministry of Tertiary Education  and Technology, Dr. Yakubu Mohammed Bello congratulated Professor Adamu on his appointment as the new Vice Chancellor. He said the appointment  is well deserved taking into consideration his being an erudite scholar and highly intelligent and respectable administrator. The Permanent Secretary then urge him to work assiduously in taken the university to higher levels.

Speaking further, Dr. Mohammed Bello admonished the staffs of Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida University and the students to give total support to the newly appointed Vice Chancellor by shunning all violence and embrace peace at all time noting that it is where peace reign that academic activities  performed better.

Dr.  Bello then rounded up his speech by wishing the new Vice Chancellor a successful tenure in office.

It should be remembered that  some days ago was Professor Abu Kasim Adamu was announced the Government of Niger State as the new Vice Chancellor of IBB University Lapai. He was announced to succeed Professor Mohammed Nasirudeen Maiturare whose tenure in office expired on Monday.

Professor Abu Kasim Adamu is an erudite scholar and an accomplished administrator. Before his present appointment he was the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the institution and was once the Dean Faculty of Life Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He was also once a member of ABU Institute of Computer and ICT (ICICT) Governing Board and Head of Department of Zoology of same school. He hails from Dukku Village of Kijua Council Area of Niger State.

Also in attendance at the official presentation of letter of appointment was the Registrar of the university Alhaji Musa Ango Abdullahi.
