University of Johannesburg Engineering Campuses

University of Johannesburg owns  and operates two engineering campuses in South Africa. Both campuses call it school of engineering by the name "Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FEBE)."

Boomfontein Campus

One campus is located in Boomfontein. There, ten engineering technology and built environment programmes are taught and they are:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Construction Management and Quantity Survey
  • Urban and Regional Planing
  • Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering Technology
  • Physical Metallurgical
  • Extraction Metallurgical
  • Mine Survey and
  • Mining Engineering


Each courses last for a duration of 3 years leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEngTech) degree.

Auckland Park Kingsway Campus

Another University of Johannesburg engineering campus is located in Auckland Park Kingsway.

Three engineering courses are taught on this campus and they are:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering and
  • Electrical Engineering
All the engineering programmes on the Auckland Park Kingsway campus last for a duration of 4 years leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) certificate.
