Witwatersrand Becomes Universität Tübingen First Africa Partner When Signed Agreement Together

With 350 partners within Europe and 199 partners outside Europe, the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen has it's first Africa partner when it signed a research agreement with the University of Witwatersrand in May, 2024.  

With over 500 years of teaching and research, a report said Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, Germany and Wits University have already history of research collaboration but in certain feild of studies such as in Global South Cultural and Literary Studies, Education and in Prehistory and Archaeological Science. With the recent partnership agreement , it is a believe that the two institution will be able to deepen the relationship for more research collaboration. 

The partnership of Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen with the University of Witwatersrand is in line with the former international strategy to expand it research activities and students mobility with universities on the African continent.
