While commenting on the research grant and the challenges of being granted one, the Vice-Chancellor commended the awardees for making the University proud and for winning the nine slots in a very keenly competitive procedures. The Vice Chancellor was referring to the comment made by the TETFund Chairman in one of his official engagement where he singled out the University of Ibadan for its numerous qualitative entries and their outstanding participation which resulted in the number of research grants won by the University.
The VC expressed his trust and belief in all the Principal Researchers and their team to make good use of the grants and possibly open up for further grants. He enjoined them to work assiduously with the timeline as contained in their approved research proposals.
