The Senator made this pledge in her office during a courtesy visit by the management of the institution led by the Vice Chancellor Professor Anthony Akinlo.
The Barrister/Senator who is also the wife of the Chancellor of the University General T. Y Danjuma stated that she was inspired to institute the scholarship to change the opinion of some people that faith based universities do not always have access to their members to enjoy reward of their personal contribution toward the development of their Alma-maters.
Senator Daisy Danjuma Annual Scholarship Award as the scholarship is called is meant to take care of the full fees of Ten Students whose their families are not financially capable to sponsor them to further their studies
While responding, Prof. Akinlo made known the purpose of their visit which include to congratulate Sen. Danjuma on her appointment as the Chairman Board of Directors, May & Baker Nigeria Plc. and to also present her the award (Outstanding Contribution Award) which she won at the 13th Awards & Recognition day of the 11th convocation of the university due to her remarkable contributions to the growth and development of the university.
