University of Johannesburg Says It Have Space for Five Percent of All Applicants

The University of Johannesburg has said that it would be able to grant admission to just 10,500 of it about 200,000 applicants for the 2020 academic session.

The management of the University said, this was so because of the limited available space and not all students  will be able to study at the prestigious South African higher institution of learning

The number the university is able to grant admission represent just 5% of the total number of the applicants, which mean the remaining 95% of the students  would have to look elsewhere for to study. Only the best students will be considered for the limited space.

The spokesperson for the University of Johannesburg, Kinta Burger says, “In terms of our plan, UJ’s plan for new first time entering fresh from the school – we can take in 10 500 and we’ve got close to 200 000 applications. So, you can see how difficult it is to actually get a space. You need really to perform above what is just a minimum requirement."
