University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) Ondo Get New Registrar

The Government of Ondo State has appointed Dr. Woleola Julius Ekundayo as the substantive Registrar of the Nigeria premier medical university: University of Medical Sciences, Ondo.

The appointment which was announced by the office of the state government and duly approved by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akerekolu, the Governor of the state is with immediate effect.

Dr. Ekundayo will take over from the Ag. Registrar Adekalu Patrick Adeyinka who has been serving in the office on acting capacity since 2017 after the expiration of tenure in office of the former substantive Registrar.

It should be recalled that early last year, vacancy advertisement for the post was put out to be able to make appointment of the most qualified person for the exalted seat.

Dr. Woleola Julius Ekundayo, until his present appointment was one of the senior officers at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) serving variously as the Coordinator of the MPA and MSc programs of the University. He was once the Acting Director of the WUSE II Study Centre.

Dr. Ekundayo is a member and fellow of several professional organizations, including membership of the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators, and Fellow of the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management. 
He is married and blessed with children.
