The youths confered Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Platinum Medal award on Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole as a result of his fight against drug abuse among the youths in our society.
The honour: Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Platinum Medal is design to appreciate leaders who are working tirelessly to make our society better place for living especially for the youths.
In appreciation of the award the elated Professor goes on Twitter to tweeted:
" Yesterday I received the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa platinum medal from the Northern Youths Progressives Forum, for championing the fight against drug abuse. I remain committed to raising 'clean' & mentally fit Youths who would lead this nation tomorrow. Together, We can do more."
This honour add to many of the existing honours the Professor already have including but not limited to:
- Merit Award for Sustainable Agriculture - Schweisfurth Foundation and Support Africa International of Germany
- William Fullbright Research Scholar Award, Pennsylvania University, USA and
- CSIR/TWAS Postdoctoral Award to Central Salt Marine Chemical Research Institute of Bhavanagar, India
