For your information, the Auchi Polytechnic is one of the two government owned polytechnics in Edo State. There were five polytechnics in the state at the time of putting together this article.

- Chemical Engineering Technology (ND and HND)
- Civil Engineering Technology (ND and HND)
- Electrical/Electronics Engineering (ND) Electronics/Telecommunications (HND Option) and Power Machine (HND Options)
- Mechanical Engineering Technology (ND). Production Engineering (HND Option) and Power (HND Option)
- Agricultural and Bio Environmental Technology (ND and HND)
- Mineral and Petroleum Resources (ND and HND)
- Polymer Engineering (ND and HND)
Duration of The Programmes
ND Degree Programme: 2 years
HND Degree Programme: 2 years
One (1) year compulsory industrial attachment in between.
Entry Requirements (ND)
All the engineering courses have almost same entry requirements as listed below.
To be eligible for admission to study one of these courses, a student must show an evidence of completing senior secondary school by presenting credit passes in at least five subjects at one or two of the following examinations:
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- NECO conducted Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or
- General Certificate of Examination (GCE) and
- National Technical Certificate (NTC)
- Mathematics (Compulsory)
- English Language (Compulsory)
- Physics
- Chemistry or
- Technical Drawing or
- Further Mathematical or
- Technical and Vocational Training Subjects or
- Geography or
- Data Processing
The student must pass and make the UTME cut off mark.
UTME Subjects
- English Language (Compulsory)
- Mathematics (Compulsory)
- Physic and
- Chemistry
The student must also pass and make the required cut off mark for Auchi Polytechnic, Edo post UTME examination
