Students would be admitted to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering at UNIUYO through this two examination processes: UTME or DIRECT ENTRY.

UTME Candidates:

Credit Passes in five (5) O/L subjects must include:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and one of
  • Technology Drawing
  • Further Mathematics
  • Geography
  • Data Processing
  • Biology
  • Welding and Fabrication
  • Economics
  • Wood Work
The student must sit for, pass and make the cut off mark for UTME. 
UTME subjects combination are:
  • Mathematic
  • Physics
  • Chemist and 
  • English Language
He must also pass UNIUYO Post UTME examination, making the minimum requirements to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Direct Entry Candidates

These following qualifications will be accepted to apply for Direct Entry admission to study for Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University of Uyo (UNIUYO)

GCE A/L  passes in two subjects (Physic and Mathematic) and one other.

National Diploma (ND) result in relevant engineering programmes (admission to 200 level). Minimum of Upper Credit

HND results in relevant engineering programmes with minimum of upper credit will be considered for an admission to 300 level of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at UNIUYO

IJMB: student must score the minimum entry requirements to be admitted to 200 level

Plus minimum O/L entry requirements as stated above.

Electrical and Electronics at University of Uyo (UNIUYO) as a programme lasted a duration of minimum of five (5) for those admitted to 100 level of the programme leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Honour in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

The programme at UNIUYO is approved by the National University Commission (NUC) and fully accredited by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
