The Computer Science have two joint honors and they are:
- Computer Science with Mathematics (BSc) and
- Computer Science with Physics
There are four known engineering programmes on which BEng or MEng degree are awarded in the Department of Engineering of the Durham University and they are:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Civil Engineering and
- Electronic Engineering
Admission is granted a student to study General Engineering of which in the third years of study he is eligible to choose one of the aforementioned engineering disciplines as his field of specialization.
The first two years of General Engineering programme is devoted to teaching students subjects common to all engineering courses. While from the third year, students are taught subjects specific to their area of specialisation.
Each of the available engineering courses is offer as a three (3) years or four (4) years degree programme leading to the award of BEng and MEng on successful completion.
