There are four known engineering programmes on which BEng or MEng degree are awarded in the Department of Engineering at Durham University and they are:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering and
  • Electronic Engineering
These four programmes are all field of specialisation which a students is eligible to choose in the third year of his engineering degree programme. Admissions are given students to study General Engineering because that is the only engineering programme avaliable to be applied for.

Each of the engineering courses is offer as a three (3) years or four (4) years degree  programme leading to the award of BEng and MEng on successful completion.
