Industrial Engineering is a field of discipline which main focus is how to improve and utilise existing resourses such as money, technology, energy, people, equipment and knowledge for the optimisations of an industrial processes.
At FUTA, the programme is a combination of other field of engineering disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management Science and it is design among many other things to:
- Produce High quality Industrial and Production Engineers with wider knowledge.
- Produce graduates with practical and interdisciplinary skills, the types required by the employers
- Graduate students with skill in the latest design and manufacturing process.
At FUTA, students who are admitted through UTME will have to complete 207 units while those admitted through Direct Entry will complete 163 units before they are eligible to graduate.
