Browse this page for details of the Mechanical Engineering at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho. The page also contaion information such as the minimum entry requirements to study the programme in the school including the O'Level subjects combination and the JAMB subjects combination.

Mechanical Engineering is the basic profession that is involved in design, construction and manufacture of machines, tools and equipment by the application of various engineering principles and techniques, and other organized knowledge of the properties and behavior of matters.

The curriculum of the programme at LAUTECH is therefore design to provide a broad engineering knowledge that spreads through the spectrum of engineering
practice and to train and equipped students with enough technical skills and knowledge by offering  quality and relevant courses in the area of engineering drawing, Auto-Cad, design, production, thermodynamic, mechanics, metallurgy, material science, control, automation and
simulation of machine tools.

To achieve the above stated objectives of the programme, various laboratory practices compliment with sound classroom lectures and works together with workshop practices, industrial experience, and supervised project were all well interwoven to produce the type of graduate engineers capable of coping with the ever growing engineering challenges and of developing the country.
