While commenting on this achievement, the Vice Chancellor, First Technical University, Professor Ayobami Salami stated they were able to have this done because of the formidable digitised system put in place in the institution since 2017.

The Vice Chancellor stated that the next thing the university did as soon as the students were sent home according the directive of the Federal Government that all school should be closed was to strengthen it's e-lecture platform, stating that the process was smooth and successful.

Salami continued by saying “The lectures continued online in April through May. There wasn’t much problem because both the lecturers and students are used to the process. We run on Moodle as our learning management system, with the smart boards that make the delivery and feedback integrated."

“Of course, there were bound to be some hitches at the beginning, as the students were now scattered in different parts of the country, with attendant challenges of phone network and power supply. But as time went on, most of them found a way around the issues."

“First, we had a mock examination to prepare the students and validate the process itself. Then, we had the exam, with over 90 per cent of students participating. We conducted a supplementary exam to accommodate those who missed the exam or part of it for one reason or the other,”
