Eastern Polytechnic Accreditation and Courses Entry Requirements

Eastern Polytechnic in Port Harcourt, is the first private polytechnic in River State. As at the time this article was being put together it was the only known private university in the state. The other three are owned and operated by the State and the Federal  Government of Nigeria.

The school is established with aim to promote quality education and integrity in personality by the provision of conducive learning environment the type that support students personal development and  skills in the area of their disciplines.

Accreditation Status

Eastern Polytechnic and all it courses ara fully accredited by the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE).

What This Mean To You

It means:

If you graduate from the school, you are eligible to participate in the recommended one (1) years NYSC programme.

You can apply to further education at other higher institutions of learning in Nigeria or abroad using a qualifications from the school.

You can get a desire job in Nigeria or elsewhere using a qualification from the school

Entry Requirements

To study any of the above mentioned courses at Eastern Polytechnic, Port Harcourt, Rivers State an applicant must have:

Minimum of credit passes in five subjects relevant to his chosen course.

The five credit must not be at more than two sittings from one or two of the: 
General Certificate of Education (GCE)
West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or
National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB)

An applicant must also sit for JAMB coordinated Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) making the cut off mark.
