Listed below are the minimum entry requirement for indirect and direct candidates to study for the programme at Caritas University, Amorji Nike, Enugu.


Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Candidates (INDIRECT)

Five credit passes in five relevants subjects from one or two of the following examinations.
  • West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
  • Senior School Certificate Education
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE)
The five relevants subjects must be:
  • Mathematics
  • English Language
  • Physics
  • Chemistry or one of 
  • Technical Drawing
  • Biology
  • Agricultural Science
  • Further Mathematics
An applicant's for this programme must sit for JAMB's UTME  and Caritas University coordinated post UTME screening and make cut off mark.

JAMB Subjects Combination
  • Physic 
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
UTME or INDIRECT candidates are admitted to 100 level of Mechanical Engineering.

INDIRECT Application Candidates

The following qualifications are accepted to apply for the BEng degree Mechanical Engineering at Caritas University, Amorji Nike, Enugu.

  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) A' Level with good passes in at least Mathematics, Physics.
  • National Diploma (ND): at least lower credit in relevant engineering programme.
  • Higher National Diploma: Lower credit in relevant engineering programmes.
  • National Technical Certificate: good passes in relevant subjects. 
  • Some other professional qualifications may also be considered for admission provided the O'level requirement is met.

Applicant's through Direct Entry are admitted to 200 level at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Caritas University.

The programme is fully accredited by National University Commission (NUC) and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
