| The Foundation Laying Ceremony Being Perform by ASUP National President Asafe Nurani Yekini |
The foundation laying ceremony took place after the Union representatives had paid a courtesy visit to the Rector Arc. Olusegun Olanrewaju Aluko to congratulate him on his recent election as the Chairman, Committe of Federal Rectors, *COFER*. They equally expressed their appreciation for his support to the Union and it's members in the institution both at local and national levels.
The delegate, ably led by ASUP National President Asafe Nurani Yekini stated that ASUP has enjoyed immense contributions from the Institution, these gestures according to him, necessitated a reciprocal action, and that the digital classroom building is ASUP's contribution to the growth and development of the polytechnic.
The Rector, *Arc. 0. O Aluko* while thanking the delegate for their visit and their gesture, seized the ocassion to Commensurate with Union on the demise of their former President.
The Rector advised the Union to do something tangible in honour of the deceased so as to encourage others who are alive to devote their services for the worthy course of ASUP.
Arc. Aluko expressed his appreciation to them for making ASUP formidable. He emphasized that it was the support and cooperation given to him by the unions are the impetus enabling the management to forge ahead.
