The Delta State Polytechnic is three (3) in numbers and that of OGWASHI-UKU is one of them. They are all owned by the Delta State government. However the one at UZORO have been upgraded to a degree awarding institution.
The Delta State Polytechnic OGWASHI-UKU, is made up of four (4) schools one of which is the School of Engineering and Technology.
The school parades nine departments, awarding ND and HND in nine different engineering disciplines including Chemical Engineering Technology.

ND Chemical Engineering Entry Requirements
Five (5) O'level credit passes from the following subjects:

The five subjects must be at not more than two sittings from one or two of the following O'level examination qualifications.
- West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE)
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
- NABTEB
