Aeronautic Engineering and Requirements | North West University

Aeronautic Engineering is a subset of Aerospace Engineering. It an engineering discipline that design, develop, research, operate and repair flying machines which operation limitations is within atmosphere. Example of such machines are aeroplane and an helicopter.

Aeronautic Engineering is not mentioned among the offered engineering courses at the North West University (NWU). And this mean a student cannot apply to study the course at the institution of higher learning.

Entry Requirements:  None

Offered Engineering Courses NWU.

North West University is awarding degrees in seven engineering disciplines s as listed below:

Aircraft Development and Research

This is what the North West University has to offer. It is done by the Aircraft Development Group, a research group within the Faculty of Engineering NWU whose main focus is in the area of aerodynamic and structural research that could lead to the improvement of performance and overall safety of glider plane and light aircraft.

The research group don't award qualifications but work with companies and organisations throughout the world to develop new technology capable of improving the production of the aircraft, at reduce cost and without jeopardizing the safety of the aircraft.

Final year and post graduate engineering students are allowed to join them for research purposes. The experience gain while among the group prepare them for career on the industry.
