Madonna University is the only university that teaches Petroleum Engineering in Enugu State at the time of this post and it is a private institution owned by the Catholic Church of Nigeria.

Madonna University Pre-Degree Programme
Madonna University runs Pre-degree programme which allow students who could not make admission through UTME to facilitate entry to 100 level at the Department of Petroleum Engineering.
Direct Entry Requirements Madonna University
For Direct Entry, candidates must have
- Advance Level (HSC/GCE/A'Level/IJMB/JUPEB): passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- National Diploma (ND) : upper credit in relevant engineering courses and
- Higher National Diploma (HND): upper credit in relevant engineering courses.
O'Level and Pre-degree qualifications holders are admitted to 100 level while direct entry applicants are admitted to 200 level. HND and first degree holders are eligible to 300 level.
