Owolabi was adjudged the best mathematics scientist in Nigeria by Research.com, a reputable research portal for scientists around the world in it 2nd edition of ranking of the best scientists in the field of Mathematics.
Many factors including the research publications, citation index, achievement and number of award earned are used to rank scientists. With D-index of 34, H-index 38, citation index of 3425, Kolade was ranked number one Mathematics scientist in Nigeria and 2091 in the world.
Professor Kolade Owolabi of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, FUTA is researcher of repute with interest in Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Biology, Fractional Calculus, Ordinary Differential Equations and Partial Differential Equations.
His current research entails the development of reliable numerical schemes for solving mathematical models arising in population biology as well as other PDE problems with integer and fractional order derivatives.
