Technical University of Kenya (tukenya) is one of the best and few universities to earn a degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering in Kenya. Some other institutions will either offer Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Computer Engineer design and build computer machine from ground up, both the hardware and software. But when it is affiliate with electronic engineering it denote that it include the design and development of microprocessor and some other electronics components of the computer. Computer is an electronic machine.

For the bachelor degree, Department of  Electronic and Computer Engineering requires:  

Holders of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)

  • KCSE mean grade of C+(plus) with atleast C+ in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/any Group III/IV/V  

Holders of Diploma Qualification 

  • Higher diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering 

Student will take about eighty-rwo courses throughout the duration of the study including rigorous practical classes, industrial attachment and project.
