Industrial and Textile Engineering Requirements | Moi University

Industrial and Textile Engineering is a merger of two programmes: Industrial Engineering and Textile Engineering. 

The programme is taught at School of Engineering, Moi University to impart students with knowledge in running an institution in such a way to reduce wastefulness and increase efficiency through effective management of manpower, money, time, raw materials and energy. 

The Bachelor of Industrial and Textile Engineering also equipped students with knowledge in the application of science and engineering principle to design and develop all aspect of textile structures, machinery and processes.

Entry Requirements Industrial and Textile Engineering 

The minimum entry requirements stated on this page is for the holders of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and for the holders of Diploma qualifications


Holders of KCSE

  • Minimum mean grade of C+(Plus) at KCSE and 
  • C+ (plus) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English/Kiswahili or Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences and English.

OR

  • “A” level certificate with at least 2 principal passes and a subsidiary in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. 

Holders of Diploma

  • KNEC Diploma in the relevant field or its equivalent from an institution recognized by Moi University Senate
  • KNEC Higher National Diploma in the relevant field or its equivalent from an institution recognized by Moi University Senate.


Accreditation 

Chemical and Process Engineering at Moi University, Kenya is accredited by Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and Commission for University Education (CUE).
