Holders of Diploma Qualifications

  • National Diploma and Higher Diploma holders in Engineering from recognized higher institution of learning.  

For a student of the programme to be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering he must take a minimum of 16 units per academic year and that translate to mean the student must have taken a minimum of 80 units in his five (5) years of study. This include a compulsory practical internal attachment, a compulsory industrial attachments and final year project. 


Job Prospect of Petroleum Engineers 

Petroleum Engineers work at either upstream sector (exploration and production of oil companies); midstream sector (companies involves in transportation of oil from well to refineries); or at downstream sector (companies in refining, marketing and sales of oil and gas products).
