A member of Lagos State House of Assembly was last week honoured at the 36th, 37th and 38th joint convocation ceremony of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Ojo-Ijanikin, Lagos State.
The lawmaker, Honourable Lanre Ogunyemi and other dignitaries were conferred with a distinguish alumnus award by the famous college of education for their contribution toward the school development and the society at large.
While sspeaking at the ceremony, the honourable representing Ojo Constituency 2 called on the government on all levels to increase spending on the educational sector of the country economy.
Hon. Ogunyemi, who is also the state chairman house committee on education further said, for our educational sector to witness a meaningful improvement all the stakeholders must unite to build the sector which he sees as lagging behind among host of other nations.
While rounding up his speech, Honourable Ogunyemi then thank the management of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Ojo-Ijanikin for conferring the award on him.
The lawmaker is a former student of the school.
