List of Private and Government Tertiary Institutions in Bayelsa State, Nigeria

Bayelsa is one of the states in Niger-Delta of Nigeria and it is one of the states with few number of tertiary institutions. The exact reasons why the state parade so few numbers of tertiary institutions could not be said but the state is one of the least populated in the country.

The state has fewer than fifteen higher institutions of learning. This include four universitites, just two known polytechnics and some other schools
