A London Based Nigeria Woman Bagged A University Alumni Award

A London based Nigerian woman, Ronke Lawal was yesterday bagged University of Lancaster Alumni Award at this year graduation ceremony of the prestigious institution.

The publication on the Lancaster University official website described Lawal a 2002 graduate of International Business (Economics) as a person committed to promoting diversity and inclusion, using the public relations company she operates to bring black entrepreneurs into limelight and helping the minority ethnic talent people to achieve their career objectives, all which form part of the criteria for selecting the university graduates for the Alumni Award.

Ronke Lawal, a woman of Nigerian parentage is the Director of Ariatu Public Relation (PR) company, London, the company she founded in 2004.

The LinkedIn profile of the woman who once said she had no expertise in PR before founding her own PR business shows that before establishing Ariatu, she was once a broadcaster at Talk Radio where she was a regular contributor, analysing small businesses and enterprises issues.

She was also a Director at a Chartered Institute of Public Relation (CIPR).

Lawal serves as a mentor for Elevation Networks Start-up Initiative and as mentor for Cherie Blair Foundation.

She is an alumna of Lancaster University from where she obtained a BSc degree in International Business (Economics) in 2002.

She also hold a BSc degree in International Business from University of Richmond, USA.
