Covenant University Emerged National Champion Enactus Nigeria 2019

At long last Covenant University, Ota yesterday was declared winner of this year maiden Enactus Nigeria Competition. The university emerges National Champion in a fierce competition which includes many powerful universities, polytechnics and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The Enactus Covenant University team as they were called, traveled to the venue of the competition in Lagos, building on their previous performances to win the championship and they were able to conquer.

Having came out 3rd in 2016, 2nd in 2017 and second again in 2018, we think it is a competition they deserved to win.

The project that won the private university situated in Ota, Ogun State was "The Design of Toles and Pet-City via Recycling of Pet Bottles for The Making of Interlocking Tiles"

Other tertiary institutions in Nigeria that were represented at the competition include but not limited to University of Ibadan, University of Port-Harcourt, Kaduna Polytechnic, University of Calabar, Ahmadu Bello University, Federal University of Technology, Owerri; Federal University of Technology, Akure and  Bayero University.

Winning Enactus Nigeria National Competition afford Covenant University the opportunity to represent the country at the Enactus International competition where they would go and compete with universities such as Cairo University, National Champion, Enactus Egypt; Durban University of Technology, National Champion, Enactus South Africa; Vinnystya National Technical University, National Champion Enactus Ukraine; Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, National Champion Enactus Ghana; University of Melbourne, National Champion Enactus Australia and host of other universities.

This year Enactus Nigeria Competition runners up were Enactus ABU (Ahmadu Bello University Zaria) first runner up and Enactus FUNAAB (Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta) second runner up.
