Scholarship award cheque worth million of naira was today presented to the management of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife for the benefit of exceptionally brilliant students of the prestigious school.
Presenting the cheque was the Dallas, US based non profit social cultural organisation by the name Osun Development Forum represented by Alhaji Kazeem Adetunji and his wife Mujidat.
The scholarship award is one of the means by which the organisation formed to support the economic development of Osun State fulfill it obligations.
The scholarship is meant for exceptionally brilliant, underprivileged students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife.
Apart from the fact that a student should be brilliant scoring CGPA 4.0 or above from his examination, a student who will benefit from the scholarship award must be an indigene of Osun State and must be a student from one of these four faculties: College of Medicine and Surgery, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Administration and Faculty of Education.
According to Osun Development Forum the scholarship award is also available at two other universities and they are Osun State University, Oshogbo and Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho.
On hand to receive the cheque on behalf of the Management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife was the registrar of the institution Mrs. Margarite Omosule. Present at the given of the cheque were other top officials of the institution.
