James Mccune Smith Scholarship is available to African-Caribbean that would like to do undergraduate program at University of Glasgow, Scotland UK.

Note: Available only at University of Glasgow.

Qualify Countries

  • Scotland
  • Northern Ireland
  • England
This translate to mean the applying African-Caribbean Student must be from one of the four countries stated above. 

By birth, the applying student could be from Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Gambia, Seychelles and many other countries of Africa and Caribbean but he/she must have taken up citizenship of one of the countries mentioned above.


Slot and the Value 

James Mccune Smith Scholarship is available to a selection of 30 students.

Duration : the scholarship is for the duration of first year of undergraduate study only.

The value of the scholarship is £2000.

To Qualify:

The applying student must show an evidence of his and his family inability to finance his education programme.

He must be pursuing his very first undergraduate degree programme.

The student must have been given and accepted offer to study a full time undergraduate programme for this academic year that commence September 2019.

The applying student must be classed as 'Home' or 'RUK' for the purpose of fee.
