Vice Chancellor to Commissioner of Police: Take Up Teaching Job With Us

The Chrisland University Management Team in A Round Table Discussion with The Visiting Commissioner of Police and His Team 
The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Ogun State, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola has invited the present Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama to take up a part+time teaching job in the school Department of Criminology and Security Studies. The charming Vice Chancellor also called on other members of security agencies in the state and in the country at large to come and do their post-graduate degree programme in the department.

This invitation was made when the Commissioner of Police paid a courtesy visit to Chrisland University last week Thursday 22nd August, 2019.

Welcoming the Commissioner of Police and his entourage onto the university campus,  Professor Chinedum said it was a privilege hosting the Commissioner of Police and his team. She said, she was happy and humbled by the visit. The Vice Chancellor revealed that she had been speaking amicably with the Commissioner of Police on phone for a while saying he was friendly. She added by saying that the Commissioner of Police had always been  good in promptly attending  to all the university requests since his assumption of office.

Professor Chinedum, thereafter shared the history of the university with her guests while she also recognised the impressive Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the CP Bashir Makama which was read to the hearing of both teams during the interactive section by the Police Public Relation Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi.

Before rounding up her address, the Vice Chancellor used the opportunity to commend the cordial relationship between Kemta Divisional Police Officer, SP Hadiza Abu and the university.

Responding, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama express his desire to response to the invitation from the university in compliance with the scope of Nigerian Community Policing.

The Commissioner thereafter spoke about his various achievement within the short time of his assumption of office which includes arresting, prosecuting and rehabilitating many of the state universitites cultists as well as unconditional rescue of kidnap victims in the state.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Makama then gave Chrisland University some security tips to apply on some of the security lapses on the campus.
