Below is listed the entry requirement to study Mechanical engineering at London South Bank University. There is little different in the entry requirement for each of the engineering coureses at LSBU.

Mechanical Engineers have work in almost all industries of an economy. They have work in automobile industry, chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, machines manufacturing industry and even in defense industry to mention but just a few.

Entry Requirements
  • Applicant must possess at least 5 GCSE's  result minimum of A-C including Mathematics and English or equivalent and
  • A Level minimum result of BBB (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) or
  • BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) National Diploma result with a minimum of DDM or 
  • Access to Higher Education (HE) qualification with a 24 × distinction and 21 × merits including 3 distinction in Mathematics and 9 merits in Physical Science or 
  • Level 3 qualification with 122 UCAS points
  • The level 3 qualification which must include Mathematics or Physical Science will be accepted 
An international student outside European Union member states must provide an English proficiency test results: IELTS of 6.0 or Cambridge proficiency or Advance Grade C or other equivalent.

Note that possessing the above minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Placement depend on the available number  of space per session. Having a better results would be an advantage. In a situation where applicants are much more than the available space those with higher or better academic results would first be considered.
