As the Covid -19 pandemic rage on all over the world, the management of the University of Pretoria is looking into all possible means to help it students who are in need.
Some of the ways the institution is considering in supporting the students in need in the crucial tine is how they can be given connectivity so that they would be able to continue their study online just as students of other higher institutions of learning in South Africa are currently doing.
A publication by the management of th University of Pretoria stated that, to achieve this objective some contribution has been made into the university Solidarity Fund. They were also making attempts to mobilize the school staff, alumni, companies and some goverment parastatal to support the initiative.
Also, to make life easy for the students of the institution, the University of Pretoria will extend the payment account of all the students by two months while negotiation will be made with students who had their finances affected negatively by the South African lockdown due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The University of Pretoria make it known to the public that it would continue with it academic programmes online, at least on to the end of first semester despite all the disruption brought about by the pandemic.
The management of the university stated that the success of their students is their ultimate priority and they will go any length to achieve this
