Entry Requirements
Application to study Computer Engineering at UNIMAID is done two ways:- As JAMB/UTME Candidates and
- As DIRECT ENTRY Candidates
To be offer provisional admission to 100 level, JAMB/UTME candidates must have sit for and pass either of the following examinations:
- WASSCE or
- SSCE/NECO or
- GCE
The pass must be in minimum of five subjects and the subjects combination are:
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry and
- English Language plus either
- Agricultural Science
- Biology
- Geography
- Technical Drawing
- Data Processing
- Further Mathematics
- Metal Work
- Economic
The credit passes should not be more than at two sittings.
The candidate must also sit for and pass JAMB/UTME, making the required cut off mark.
JAMB/UTME subjects combination are:
A JAMB/UTME candidate must also sit for and pass UNIMAID coordinated post UTME, making the required cut off mark for the Department of Computer Engineering.
The candidate must also sit for and pass JAMB/UTME, making the required cut off mark.

- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry and
- English Language
A JAMB/UTME candidate must also sit for and pass UNIMAID coordinated post UTME, making the required cut off mark for the Department of Computer Engineering.
DIRECT ENTRY Candidates
To be considered for a provisional admission to study Computer Engineering at UNIMAID, candidates must be holder of at least one of the following qualification:
- GCE A/L: passes in three Science subject including Physics and Mathematic will be accepted to 200 level of the programme.
- NCE Technical with required number of points with be considered for admission.
- Holders of IJMB result with numbers of required points will also be considered into 200 level..
- National Diploma (ND): holders of ND in relevant Engineering disciplines with minimum grade of Upper Credit will be considered for admission into 200 level
- HND: HND holders in relevant Engineering programmes with good Credit will be considered for admission.
The applicants seeking for admission through Direct Entry must have O/L results as stated above.
Computer Engineering lasted a duration of minimum of five years and maximum of seven years after which BEng in Computer Engineering is awarded to students on successful completion of the study.
