ABU Zaria Governing Council Celebrated An Outgoing Member

Mrs. Olusola Dada Sitting Front Among other Members of the ABU Zaria Governing Council 

Ahmadu Bello University Governing Council celebrated an outgoing member by organising a sendforth for her. The person is no other than Mrs. Olusola Dada.

Mrs. Dada who is a Federal Director, represented the Federal Ministry of Education on the Council. She was leaving the Council on account of her redeployment to Office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Malam Adamu Fika, GCON (Wazirin Fika) said the Council had enjoyed working with her due to her “good character”.

Malam Adamu Fika was particularly elated by complimentary comments on the outgoing member by the Council members, saying the sendforth had really “united” the University Government Council.

All members of the Council present at the occasion spoke and they variously described the outgoing member as a humble, hardworking and straight forward person. They also said the Council would miss her wise counsel during deliberations.

In her response, the outgoing member, Mrs. Olusola Dada, expressed gratitude to the Council for honoring her, saying that her doors would remain open to the University in her new place of posting.

Mrs. Dada was presented with a plaque and a souvenir by the chairman in appreciation of her meritorious service to the University.
